    Need help w/ composite in

I bought a used M7330n hp media center PC with MCE and it's got rear and front composite in; I hooked my Wii and 360 into it and plugged everything in but I can't figure out how to make it display them.

Does this have anything to do with Media Center or is it gonna be some other piece of software? If that's the case I'm screwed 'cause I deleted most of what was on it.

    Someone help me out here.

You can't hook game consoles to your PC like that.

Well thanks for that incredibly useful piece of info.

How about following it up with how I'm supposed to go about it?

Just connect your Wii and your XBox360 directly to your TV. They don't get connected to your Media Center PC.

Actually, there are some cards that will skip the buffer and allow you to output directly to screen removing the delay normally associated with them (avermedia makes some, but you can't record it when you use that feature). I doubt your HP as it and therefore there is no reason to do what you want unless you want to record it for some reason. You may have had some software to allow you to capture video from a camcorder and such in which you could have used that, but you'd still have the delay as its recording it, making game play near impossible.

I doubt that there is an easy answer for this but I do understand the ideal.  It would be nice to have other sources switched through VMC to truly behave as a head unit seing as though the buttons on the Microsoft remote dictates or let's say assumes that all you have is Media Center, a display (maybe a TV), and (or maybe not) an Amplifier.  If the remote had a button to program the input button on your TV than perhaps it might "feel" that your in the same ecosystem.  Add one more button to change surround mode on my amp and one more to power it on and off and life would be good (for me).  This would be a more viable and obvious solution.  The remotes available don't strike my fancy but the Ricavision remote comes very close except you can't get one and their website is down so I'm not certain if it will ever be obtainable.  I realise this is thread is a little stale but I just wanted to say that three more buttons would have helped a long time ago.

I forgot one - Four buttons, one more to change the input on the amp.

I would like to see an updated Microsoft Remote.
