    NO HDMI Audio Output

I have a Vista SP1 Home Theatre computer connected to a SONY STR-DG920 amp.  The video is excellent, but there is no sound.  When I go into Sound > Playback> Digital Output Device (HDMI), it says that it is the default device and working properly.  Does anyone have any ideas?

    Re: NO HDMI Audio Output

Is there a setting in your bios that has HDMI sound input or output?

    Re: NO HDMI Audio Output

check your sound card setting (right click on the speaker in the task bar and click playback devices).  Ensure that the following is true:

1:)    HDMI is set as the default audio output device
2:)    under properties->supported formats, dolby digital is checked.
3:)   under properties->supported formats, 48Khz sample rate is checked.
