I've noticed a few page views but no responses. Here's an update on the problem.
1) I can sync regular files - WMV video files, MP3, jpgs.
2) I can see all the DVR-MS files as TV files within WMP11. I can play TV files within WMP11
3) When I go to sync, the process starts, when the WMP11 gets to a
DVR-MS it shows itself as converting the file - but its stays at 0%.
After a few moments WMP determines that the sync failed and move on the
next file.
4) Neil Smith ---
Windows Media Newsgroups
--- suggested that the cache for the media player may have become
corrupted and had me delete it through more options on the sync tab. No
luck.
5) A buddy of mine thought it could have to do with the fact that I
record to a USB 2.0 Hard Drive and suggest that I try to sync a file
from the local C: Drive. So I recorded a show to the C: drive and
attempted to sync it to the PMC-120. No luck.
Does anybody else have any suggestions? Microsoft's web pages suggest
that I should contact Dell for problems with WMP 11 - but that really
seems like a lost cause. I've sent iriver (The PMC-120 Manufacturer)
several messages with no reply. I'm not sure what other directions to
take this. If anybody has any suggestions, I'm all ears.
Thanks!
I love the technology, but who has the time?
