Problem with Photos Screen Saver and Vista Media Center Delux Home on 1080p

I have an S1Digital Media Center with a Nvidia GForce 6500 GT video adaptor and a Samsung LN-T5265F monitor.

The monitor is set up 1920x1080x32/60hz via VGA connector.
The photo screen saver is set to come on after 1 minute.
The screen is to depower after 3 minutes.
The system is to sleep after 5 minutes.

    Here is what happens:

When setting up the screen saver I see my pictures in the mini-preview.  If I "preview" the screen saver the monitor loses sync.  It seems the video output changes to a mode not supported by the monitor.  The monitor displays "searching for signal" and "not supported mode".  When I move the cursor the screen saver control panel is displayed.  I never see full screen pictures.  The media center slide show of the directory works fine.

In Media center, after 1 minute the screen flashes to black, then for an instant dispalys the windows desktop, then returns to the Media Center display.  After 1 more minute the monitor loses sync.  It seems the video output changes to a mode not supported by the monitor.  The monitor displays "searching for signal" and "not supported mode".  When I move the cursor - the Media Center display re-appears.  I never see any photos.  After 3 minutes the screen powers off.  After 5 minutes the system sleeps.

Not in Media Center, after 1 minute NOTHING happens (no flash, no pictures, normal screen).  After 3 minutes the screen powers off.  After 5 minutes the system sleeps.  Pictures are never displayed.

If I use the "Blank" screen saver, everything works exactly as expected.

Any trick to get this to work?  Thanks!

I am afraid I have no solution apart from to tell you I had basically the same problem (not the searching for signal bit though). I have searched for a solution but found nothing it just seems the photo screen saver does not work on that high a resolution I have now set my display back to 720i and the screen saver works, any higher resolutions causes the problem.

I had to both upgrade my Nvidia drivers and reduce the resolution to 1600x1200 then it mostly works!

I still have the problem that if Media Center is in paused play when the screen saver kicks in the pause is aborted and the begins to play (the audio) which the screen saver is displayed in video.
