PC to TV - Dual HP dc7600's as Media Centers

I've got two spare HP Compaq Ultra-Slim dc7600's that I've been trying to hook up to TVs to use as Media Centers.  My problem is getting them to display on the TVs.  They have only a VGA output for video and use the onboard graphics.  They also have only one expansion slot that is being used for the TV tuner in both of them.

I've tried buying a VGA to Component cable for one TV and a VGA to S-Video cable for the other and hooked them up via those but I either get no picture or a distored one.  I've also tried changing every resolution and refresh rate to try and get them to work but no success.  The lowest setting they let me go is 800x600 @ 60 Hz.

I am new to hooking PCs up to older TVs.  Am I missing something in connecting and configuring them together or do I need some sort of converter? These TVs don't have a VGA port and Component is the best imput on one while S-Video is the best on the other.

Can anyone suggest a possible solution?

If that's all you have to work with, which doesn't work obviously, then you'll have to buy new hardware. I.e., motherboard, cpu, ram, or video card etc. A new PC :D.
