Tonight I hooked my laptop up to my 40'' LCD Samsung with a noname 6 meter VGA cabel, and pang! I could no longer use a native resolution of 1366 x 768.

Back to the previous 1,5 meter VGA cabel and everything works again.

1. Is there a limit to how long a VGA cabel can be? I need app. 12-15 feet,

2. Any recommendation for cabel brands?

I used to use a generic 25' VGA cable from monoprice to my sanyo z1 projector without issues.
