Missing channels QAM (NOT Cable Card Related)

    Hi everyone.

    Just looking for some assistance.
I'm missing my local FOX station. I live in Vancouver Wa and my zip code is 98682.
I  remember having it when I used WinTV. In Fact I had all my QAM channels with WinTV.
In GB-PVR it showed as channel 12.1.  I tried entering that in Media Center and it shows no data.
When I went to the HDHomerun website my channel showed up as the following:
    QAM 256  -   Channel 76  - Program 3.
I entered all that into into the Add QAM section and it still didn't work.
I selected QAM 256. Channel 76.3 and entered in the Channel Tag as KPTVDT.
I'm including this link as well just so people can double check my work in case I'm doing this wrong.

Is anyone else running into this problem?

It sounds like you're doing the right thing. I've had to add channels the same way, and it has always worked.
The only thing I might say is that Silicon Dust has the wrong info, but in my experience they've always been right.
I really don't know. Is there any way that you can scan through the channels manually? With the HD Homerun they have a seperate program to view the channels, and i've used it to make sure that it was the right channel.

Shame. I've tried everything that I can think of today.
That's the strange thing about all of this.
I've used the settings in the HDHomerun guide and it works in WinTV but not in MCE.

    VERY frustrating.

I looked over in detail what you are doing, I don't see anything wrong. I have a HDhomerun so that is why I did that write up but, I also have a Avermedia A180 in my office machine.

I took the channel numbers from my HDhomerun (from the website) and put them in media center (manual adding a QAM channel), it picked up the channel fine on my A180. So I figure it would work the same on any tuner.

I could be wrong, some tuners act differently. Very odd...

Is there a problem with the channel ? Are you able to test it on a on th WinTV app that it's still working ?

You noted in your post that the channel showed "no data"  but, did you tune the channel ? (that is guide info, that is an easy fix)...

Yea, I went to the channel and there was no signal.
The data isn't on the channel either but I know how to add data to the channel.
I just don't get why Media center won't tune the channel.
    WinTV WILL tune the channel.
